InX painting robot

The InX painting robot is equipped with magnetic tracks, able to perform the painting procedure on surfaces of refinery tanks
or ship hulls. This robot was developed to work in the most aggressive environments of the oil and gas industry.

Its exclusive magnetic fixing system and its combined movement mechanism, protected by the patent BR102012001482-3,
make it possible to move the robot over the entire surface to be painted.

InX cleaning robot

A project demanded by Braskem UNIB 2 RS allowed Instor Projetos e Robótica to develop the InX cleaning robot. This robot
aims at the automated cleaning of weld beads. Using its camera and a laser guide system, the cleaning InX is oriented on the
weld beads.

The development of the first unit was supported by Braskem-RS, which was mainly interested in the use of new technologies to
improve its processes. Several tests were carried out at Braskem in order to improve the robot to the highest safety and quality
standards practiced in Brazil. In storage spheres the cleaning of the welds had a productivity of 1.5 meters / minute.

Currently the robot is operational and approved for use in the field, promising a great efficiency gain in the inspection processes.
With this robot, it is possible to clean the weld beads made without scaffolding and protecting workers from the risks presented
by working in confined spaces or at height.

InX inspection robot

The inspection InX is a robot intended for the application of inspection techniques on the surfaces of storage tanks and ship hulls,
for example. Using the same magnetic conveyor system as the other robots in its line, it moves across the surface.

While moving on the surface, the robot is capable of applying various inspection techniques, such as Ultrasound, Phased Array,
Eddy Current and MFL.
